In March 2025, the Orchid research team visited Langley Park School for Girls, a secondary school in South London, to introduce Year 12 and 13 students and teachers to Orchid as part of our pilot study. We ran three sessions at the school. During the first, the students used Orchid guided by various scenarios. In the second, we gathered student feedback on the tool through focus groups. In the final session, we spoke about careers in the health and science sectors, and the students asked us lots of insightful questions. About 30 students attended this session! 

We were also able to connect some of the students with staff working in their desired career fields. Additionally, we received valuable feedback from the teachers at Langley Park on how Orchid could be used to help students learn about reproductive health in schools. 

It was a fantastic experience working alongside such a bright and enthusiastic group!
